People Places Prize 2025

Announcing the inaugural People Places Prize 2025! 

We’re thrilled to share that the People Places Prize is now open for entries – celebrating creativity and innovation in shaping our urban environments. Our Director Sonia Simpfendorfer will be part of the jury panel along with five other prominent Australian design professionals. 

With a $10,000 prize, the winning entry will be featured in an exhibition and online through the philanthropic initiative peopleplaces.org.au

Entries can explore ideas across: 

– The Arts
– Green spaces
– Building design
– Disability access 

Open to Australian citizens and residents aged 18+, the Prize welcomes individual entries as well as groups of up to four. Submissions may be visual (images, film, video) and/or written. 

Free to enter, with entries closing 1 November 2025.
